Twas the Month Before Christmas Show

We held a successful show on Saturday November 25th with our guests, the Forest City Fire Men's Chorus.

There were seasonal favourites performed by the Chorus and 2 of our Quartets:  Short & Sweet,  Venture and Imagine That.  Our guest enjoyed cookies and refreshments at a reception following the performance.

Merry Christmas!

Happy 100th Birthday Agnes!

The Chorus celebrated Agnes' 100th birthday at her party in Chatham and by purchasing a commemorative brick in her honour at the Sweet Adelines International Headquarters.

We are so blessed to have Agnes continue to be an Associate Member with the Chorus.  It was a blast to have her join us to sing the Irish Blessing in front of over 100 friends and family at her party.

Celebrating Jackie's success

On of our members, Jackie Buttnor, competed on the Canadian Team for the 2017 Invictus Games held in Toronto.  The Invictus Games were established 3 years ago by Prince Harry as a means of rehabilitation and friendly competition for wounded warriors.  Jackie is now retired from the Canadian Armed Forces which gives her time for her training and singing with our Sweet Adeline Chorus.

During the games Jackie participated in three events:  Powerlifting, Rowing and Wheelchair Rugby.

She won the SILVER MEDAL in Womens Powerlifting!

Region 2 Fall Music School

Some of our Chorus members attended the Fall Regional School on the weekend.  The "Stage Coaches" gave us hints and tips on characterization and bringing unity to our performance.

We also enjoyed the Parade of Champions where the Region's 2017 International representatives performed for us.  Good luck to Fusion, The Vibe, Grand Traverse Show Chorus and Shoreline Sounds Chorus as they compete in Las Vegas in 2 weeks.

London Chorus Peddles for Heart & Stroke

On Wednesday August 23 members of the Chorus rasied money and awareness for Heart & Stroke on their Big Bike Ride.

We rode the bike built for 30 through the streets of downtown London singing, cheering and having a load of fun.

London Chorus Wins Mid-Size Division!

We had an exciting Regional Competition this weekend.  London Chorus placed 1st in the Mid-Sized division and 2nd over all in Saturday's Chorus competition.

Congratulations to HOT WIRE Quartet  for placing 2nd in Friday night's Quartet competition.

London Loves Coaching with Erin!

We had a great Region 2 coaching day with Erin Howden on Sunday February 5.

Erin demonstrated how to improve your performance and give to your audience through interactive play and live coaching demonstrations of Seaway Sounds, Grand Harmony and London Choruses.  What a great way to spend a Sunday!

Thanks to the great organizing committee led by our very own Jo Kulik!

Increasing our Artistry with Mo Field

We had an amazing, energizing coaching experience last night with Mo Field.  She and Julia worked with us to build our artistry and honesty in our performance.

Thanks Mo!  Together we made beautiful music and had quite a few good laughs in the process.

Thames Valley Show Chorus entertains the Christmas Crowd

We held a successful Christmas Show and Tea at Riverside United Church on Saturday December 3.  The audience enjoyed performances from the Chorus and 3 of our Quartets (Everyday People, Imagine That and Short & Sweet) and participated in a rousing Sing Song.

Under the direction of Master Director Julia Beadle the favourite performances were the Chorus's new song Hallelujah and one of our favourite Greg arrangements of Mary Did You Know.

The quartets each brought their own personalities to the Show through their song selections.

Our MC was Brock University Radio & Broadcast student Amanda Bullard.  Amanda is a daughter of one of our Chorus members.  She has helped us in years past with ticket sales, ushering and stage props.
