Congratulations to Denise Saylor, our 2018 Sweet Adeline of the Year!
The Chorus had an amazing day coaching with multi-Gold Medal Director June Dale.
We held a successful show on Saturday November 25th with our guests, the Forest City Fire Men's Chorus.
There were seasonal favourites performed by the Chorus and 2 of our Quartets: Short & Sweet, Venture and Imagine That. Our guest enjoyed cookies and refreshments at a reception following the performance.
Merry Christmas!
The Chorus celebrated Agnes' 100th birthday at her party in Chatham and by purchasing a commemorative brick in her honour at the Sweet Adelines International Headquarters.
We are so blessed to have Agnes continue to be an Associate Member with the Chorus. It was a blast to have her join us to sing the Irish Blessing in front of over 100 friends and family at her party.
On of our members, Jackie Buttnor, competed on the Canadian Team for the 2017 Invictus Games held in Toronto. The Invictus Games were established 3 years ago by Prince Harry as a means of rehabilitation and friendly competition for wounded warriors. Jackie is now retired from the Canadian Armed Forces which gives her time for her training and singing with our Sweet Adeline Chorus.
During the games Jackie participated in three events: Powerlifting, Rowing and Wheelchair Rugby.
She won the SILVER MEDAL in Womens Powerlifting!
Some of our Chorus members attended the Fall Regional School on the weekend. The "Stage Coaches" gave us hints and tips on characterization and bringing unity to our performance.
We also enjoyed the Parade of Champions where the Region's 2017 International representatives performed for us. Good luck to Fusion, The Vibe, Grand Traverse Show Chorus and Shoreline Sounds Chorus as they compete in Las Vegas in 2 weeks.
On Wednesday August 23 members of the Chorus rasied money and awareness for Heart & Stroke on their Big Bike Ride.
We rode the bike built for 30 through the streets of downtown London singing, cheering and having a load of fun.
What an exciting weekend at Region 2 Competition!
London Chorus is proud to have earned 1st place in the Mid-Sized Chorus division and 2nd place overall in Saturday’s contest. It was an unforgettable experience sharing the stage with so many talented groups.
A big round of applause to Hot Wire Quartet as well, who shone in Friday night’s competition and walked away with an impressive 2nd place finish!
We had a great Region 2 coaching day with Erin Howden on Sunday February 5.
Erin demonstrated how to improve your performance and give to your audience through interactive play and live coaching demonstrations of Seaway Sounds, Grand Harmony and London Choruses. What a great way to spend a Sunday!
Thanks to the great organizing committee led by our very own Jo Kulik!
